Seizing the Moment

Since the conference I went to was in Richmond, VA., it worked out for me to see our kids down South.  They graciously  shuttled me from place to place to make it all work out.  My heart to so full of joy that I was to spend a few days with them.  As we prayed for our kids as they transitioned into their adult life, we prayed God would put them in the exact spot he wanted them.  We know God is using them in so many ways and we are thrilled to death for where they are at.  However, that doesn't mean we don't miss them terribly.  It was so nice to just "do life" together for a couple of days.  Those simple things like going for a walk, going to the store, baking together, enjoying a coffee together, sharing meals together, watching a movie together, and just having a face to face conversation has been so precious.  So as I sit here at the airport waiting for my flight home I am so grateful for these precious moments that were were able to spend together.  And now we will continue being long distance cheerleaders again!
