This week is history in the making as right now the first Canadian M.K. (Missionary Kid) Re-entry Retreat is going on. In the last year and a half there has been so much dreaming, planning, strategizing, and PRAYING to see ReBoot become a reality. Maybe you even wonder the importance of having a Canadian M.K. Re-Entry Retreat. The biggest transition an M.K. goes through is when they come back to their passport country to transition to college or a job. I have had the privilege of sitting in on most of the sessions in the mornings and afternoons. WOW! What tremendous, and helpful information is being shared by adult M.K.'s who have gone through the same thing. The presenters have been through this hard transition and are sharing from their hearts how God has seen them through it. There are so many things that an M.K. deals with when they come back to North America as they adjust to life in a country that doesn't feel like home. M.K.'s have a feeling of "Unbelonging". Oh, how I wish there was something like this for our children when we came back from Venezuela. Do you know some M.K.'s? Pray for them in whatever stage they are at. Even if they have been in North America for years. Chances are they never had anyone to help them work through this major transition and being and M.K. is always going to be a part of them. If you know of teen M.K.'s, pray for them, and strongly consider sponsoring them or giving them a gift so they can attend an M.K. Re-Entry Retreat. God is moving, hearts are being touched, and it has been such a joy to see what God is doing in the lives of these M.K.'s that are attending ReBoot. Please be praying for these ten M.K.'s in the weeks and months ahead. For many of them, their parents are already back on the mission field.
