Exactly one year ago today we were celebrating the marriage of Zachary and Elisha. Although it was one of the hottest days of the summer and we felt like we were melting at times, it was such a special day filled with so much joy and happiness as we witnessed Zachary and Elisha exchange their vows. We have prayed for all of our children that they would meet and marry Christians who loved the Lord. It was such a thrill for us to see how God brought Zachary and Elisha together and answer our prayers! As many of you know, due to their move to Charlotte and all the paperwork issues, Elisha was not able to move to Charlotte after their wedding. So this first year of marriage has been filled with many challenges one being living in different countries. How we thank the Lord that at the end of January they were able to see Elisha's paper work come through and she could officially move to Charlotte to join Zachary.
Happy 1st Anniversary Zachary and Elisha! Although this wasn't exactly the 1st year of marriage you had planned, I hope you can look back and see all the cool things you were able to experience together. As you look ahead to many more great years ahead keep loving each other and making each other know that you are there for each other. Enjoy making some incredible memories together. And just as you saw God carrying you through some challenging days of waiting on paper work, that same God will be there with you through many more hurdles. We love you and are cheering you on!
(For those of you wondering about their gift. Since the 1st year anniversary gift is PAPER we gave them paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, paper plates, and other things like that!)
