Road Trip
On Monday morning at 5:40 we took off for B.C. to spend time with Vern's parents. We have never made the trip via car without stopping to overnight anywhere. So this was a whole new experience for us. We are feeling our age and are past pulling all-nighters. However, we took off on this adventure with many people praying for us as we traveled. We had a two hour stop in Chicago to see my parents and Grandmother, and we had another two hour stop at a rest stop. We arrived Wednesday morning at 2:30 a.m. We are thankful for the strength and stamina to make it all the way here.
Here is some random facts about our trip. The cheapest gas was in Flint, MI. for $3.38 a gallon. The most expensive was Chicago but we never fill up there so Montana was our most expensive fill up at $3.81 a gallon.
Our favorite state besides IL. since I was born and raised there was N.D. Our reasons for loving N.D. are:
1) Speed limit is 75
2) No Traffic,
3) reasonable gas at $3.59 a gallon
4) Awesome rest areas, They were clean and welcoming, and had free WiFi
We are now enjoying some good family time.
YEA! WE MADE IT!!!
