MK Caregivers Consultation

This week I had the joy and privilege to fly to Kansas City, MO.  to attend the M.K. Caregivers Consultation.  There were 53 of us who attended.  We even had a missionary come from Australia and a couple from Brazil.  Dr. Brent Bounds was the main speaker.  Brent is on the board of directors of Barnabas International and serves as the Director of Family Ministries at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City. He has worked with the MK Transition Seminar at Biola University for many years and has extensive experience counseling with missionary families.  I learned so much through the difference sessions and workshops.  My life was also enriched by meeting so many other missionaries who are working full time with M.K. Care and Education.  There were a lot of deep and meaningful conversations as we encouraged each other to "Keep Pressing On".  As I return to Canada I am seeking the Lord's guidance as to how we can minister and encourage our missionary families and especially our M.K.'s.
