On June 22nd we started our road trip to BC. Since we don't get furloughs like when we were on the field it is harder to get away from our ministry at the training center to connect with our churches and supporters out in BC. To maximize our time here, we drove as far as we could, as fast as we could. One day we were on the road 19 hours. Our first stop was in Chicago, although we just said a quick hello to my parents and enjoyed a pizza together for their 59th anniversary. Then we jumped in the car and hit the road again. We have already had some very special visits with some very dear people and we are enjoying worshipping at our home church here in Salmon Arm. We made a trip to the coast and tomorrow we leave bright and early for Buick Creek, BC which is about 1,100 km north of here. We are looking forward to connecting with more very dear and special friends. We are thankful for the safety we have had so far and pray for the many miles we have yet to travel.

June 2016
I sometimes forget that not everyone has Facebook so I will post some pictures from June. Vern and I both traveled to meetings the first couple of weeks of June. We are so happy Titus was able to find a good summer job. On June 11th we celebrated our 33rd anniversary. We did something that we have never done before and went to the Stradford Festival to see a musical. It was a lot of fun and we hope to go again some time. On Father's Day we enjoyed some family time together as we honored Vern, Caleb and Seth. A couple days later we started our road trip to BC. And before we know it the month of June flew by.

Celebrating My Hero!
Today is not a national holiday, and for
most of you today is just another “normal” day. But today marks a significant date in my
life. It is the day I celebrate the life
of my HERO (my Dad). My dad has invested
his very best to his family, his job, and his life. I am sure what he envisioned his life to be
has turned out very different then what he thought it would be as a young
man. However, my dad has faithfully
walked with the Lord through all the joys and challenges he has faced. I have learned so much through my dad and his
example of loving and serving his family.
He serves day in and day
out. His selfless life has touched my
life and those who know him. How I thank the Lord for the legacy he is leaving
his family to follow. Happy Birthday
Dad! Thanks for living out Christ in
this world and showing me what unconditional love looks like.

The Merry Month of May
Sometimes I forget that there are people that check in on this blog that don't have Facebook. The month of May has been a really full month for us. One of the major events was Titus finishing up his second year at Liberty. We are proud of him and he really applied himself and finished well. I picked him up to come home for the summer and thus started his search for a summer job. It took several weeks but we are thankful that he does have a job. YEA GOD!
On a ministry front May is the last month of formal classes then our students move into building their jungle camp houses. So we were kept busy with classes, chapels, and end of the semester events.
We have the privilege to work with a great team of trainers. However, we are in a time of transition. Last week we had a farewell lunch for one of our families that is moving out of the training program and into a full time ministry in their church. Although we were sad to see them leave we know they will be such a blessing in their church.

Sisters Celebrating!
Last night all of us sisters (minus two) along with some of my nieces, were able to celebrate by doing a paint night together. My sister Gay is cancer free which is definitely worth celebrating! YEA GOD! Gay and Joy just had birthday as well. There are some in the family with artistic abilities but many of us are not artistically inclined. However, it was such a fun night together as sisters and what a great way to make a memory together. I am so richly blessed in having such amazing sisters who I loved spending time with!
