The Thankgiving Weekend Surprise
-->
We had a pretty full
Thanksgiving weekend. We started out by having a family Thanksgiving
dinner. It was great to have Ruth and Glenn home this year. On
Friday Camille and Zachary were also able to make it home. I was so
looking forward to having all the kids home and enjoying some great family
times together. Little did I know I had even more to look forward
to. Vern and the kids planned a surprise 50th birthday party for
me. I was getting supper ready Friday night and in walks 3 of my
siblings, two sister in-laws, three nieces and a nephew to join in on
celebrating my birthday. I was TOTALLY surprised. And there was no
greater present they could have given me. The hardest part of us being
missionaries has been living so far away from family. It was such a great
weekend and so many special memories were made together. I was so humbled
that my family would go through so much to make my 50th birthday so
special. (As part of my birthday dinner a "photo booth" was set
up where we took a bunch of crazy pictures together. I will post them
when I get them back.) On Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend there was
another bridal shower for Camille and it was so nice to enjoy that with
family. Thank-you to all of my family that made this past
Thanksgiving Weekend a weekend I will never forget.
