Home Alive
When I mentioned in my last blog we were heading to the "Great White North". That was exactly what we did. We left Charlotte at 6:00 a.m. and it looked like it was going to be a beautiful day there. We had smooth sailing until we got to Erie. Then it was a totally different story. At certain points we weren't even moving as the road conditions were so poor. We were so glad to get around the lake and into Canada to have dry roads again But a couple of hours from home the weather turned poor once again. It was close to white out conditions many time. We pulled in at 11:00 p.m. very thankful to be home safe and sound. Thanks to everyone who prayed for us during our very long day.

Head to the Great White North
Our time here in Charlotte has been busy as we have all been running around doing a lot of different errands. Zachary has been able to get a lot of accomplished. He just has a few more things to do like getting a North Carolina drivers license and he will be ready for work on Wednesday. We were able to pop over to see Ruth and Glenn this morning. Ruth served us an delicious brunch. First thing tomorrow morning we head back to Durham. We would appreciate your prayers for safety on the roads as we should be hitting a lot of snow.

Settling In
Today involved a lot of running around for Zachary. Reestablishing himself here in the US has had its challenges as the US and Canada don't share credit records so it is like starting all over again. So there has been a few hurdles along the way but we are thankful that things are starting to fall into place. Tomorrow the BIG thing on the agenda for is for Zachary to try to find a car so he can get around. As you can see, Zachary is starting out with no furniture. However, we are thankful that Zachary found himself a nice apartment.
Road Trip
We made it safely to Charlotte! We are Praising the Lord that our van made it! We did hit a bit of snow in NY. We were very glad to be able to drive out of it. They were expecting a big storm to arrive in the evening. Zachary is already out working their his "To Do" list. He will get the keys to his apartment in a couple of hours and he can start settling in.

MOVING OUT!
WOW! How did that happen so fast? It seems like the pages of our lives keep turning so quickly and just like that, we are on the verge of yet another chapter of our lives ending. Tomorrow we head out once again to move a child to North Carolina, but this time to Charlotte. If you would have told us seven months ago we would now have two children living in North Carloina I don't think we would have believed you.) Although we are so SUPER excited for Zachary I know when we pull away from our driveway early tomorrow morning there will be many mixed emotions as our son moves many miles away. Through his college years we got very used to him popping in once a month for a good meal and a visit. Now Zachary has been home with us 3 1/2 months and we have been very used to our times of connecting, hanging out, and doing life together. Wow! Are we going to miss him. So as I sit here writing this the streams of tears are flowing freely as this chapter comes to an end.
To you our dear son Zachary, we are extremely proud of you and all your hard work. You had to work hard to keep paying the bills through college as well as keep excelling in school You had much time to build a lot of character. But we are also very proud of you and the man of God you have become. We are 100% confident that God is leading and directing you to North Carolina and we know he has amazing things in store for you. I know you won't miss my camera and all the times and way I would try to get you to smile for a picture. (You got very good at smiling with your eye, as you would say.) But know as you move away that distance will not stop your mom and dad from continuing to cheer you on in life. We will be thinking and praying for you every day! Keep walking this life of faith!

JOB ACCEPTED!
So many of you have been praying for Zachary and we are VERY excited to share with you that Zachary has a JOB! It has been a busy few months for him, filled with many phone and in person interviews. Zachary has worked with many companies across Ontario and in at least six of the States. The job he has accepted is in Charlotte, N.C. Things are moving very quickly and in less then two weeks he starts his new job. Please be praying for Zachary in this move. There are so many things to work out both here and in Charlotte when he arrives. Please also, be praying for Elisha as she starts working through paperwork to be able to move to the States after the wedding in August.
