From Durham To Durham

Many of you know that last week Ruth and I went on a road trip to Durham, N.C.  Ruth had an all day job interview at Duke University Hospital in Durham, N.C.  It was a whirl wind trip as we traveled there and back in four days so that we could be back for Titus' graduation. Besides the job interview we went around looking at many apartments while we were there.  Thanks to all of your who were praying!   This afternoon Ruth got offered a position in the OR as part of the Trauma Team.  We are praising the Lord for how this all worked out!  There were two groups of nurses interviewing for the new positions that were opening up.  Some of the other applicants have been looking for jobs since December.  Ruth was offered the exact position she was wanting.  THANK-YOU LORD!!!!  We would appreciate your continued prayers for Ruth as she continues to study for her NCLEX exam which she will be taking in a couple of weeks.  And then there is a lot of paperwork involved in getting her Michigan license changed to North Carolina.  YEA, RUTH!!!!  WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!

The Graduating Class of 2013

Last night we celebrated Titus' high school graduation.  Since he was the only one graduating he was able to plan the program how he wanted.  The family put a worship team together and Vern gave the message.  It was very special that all of our children were home for this celebration and it was an extra treat that Elisha could also make it in.  We praise the Lord for our dear son Titus and how he has grown and matured.  We are so thankful for all the teachers he has had through the years at the NTMC Academy that have invested in his life not only academically but spiritually as well.  Please pray for him as he enters this next phase of his life.  He is planning on working this next year and then starting college the fall of 2014.

Mother's Day 2013

Vern and I both have wonderful mothers and how we wish we could have dropped in to see them.  But there are too many miles inbetween.   Although, it was a treat to be able to Skype Vern's mom.    All our kids were home for the day and it is always special to hang out together as a family.  Vern started off the day making me a special breakfast, which was amazing!  We had a later lunch and everyone pitched in to make a delicious meal.  Jeremiah brought the greatest joy as we all enjoyed our "time" holding him.  Aurora gave me a painting that I will always treasure!  My family treated me royally!  Thank-you to all of you!  We are so thankful for our daughter-in-laws and the amazing mothers they are to our grandchildren.  We always had hoped for more daughters, and God has blessed us with some VERY special ones.

Welcome to the World Jeremiah Seth Dyck

On Wednesday morning around 9:00 a.m. our family welcomed little Jeremiah Seth Dyck into this world.  Seth and Camille became parents for the first time and we added another beautiful grandson into our lives.  Jeremiah was in no hurry to enter this world as he arrived ten days late.  After a long labor he made his grand entrance via c-section.   He weighed 8 lb. 6 oz. and was 23 inches long.  What a precious gift from God!  Please pray for Camille as she recovers and for them as a family as they get into a routine, and hopefully starting getting more sleep.
